Why should I represent AU Grad Students?
Some of the reasons I want to represent AU students have to do with timing and opportunity. I have spent my entire time as an AU student with a full-time job and full course load. I think that lifestyle represents a great deal of grad students without the time to do everything they want and having to choose what matters. I have recently left my full-time position for chill part-time retail. With this new freedom, I see a chance to apply my passion for advocacy to benefit underrepresented folks.
Qualities I could bring to the role:
01
Dedicated
02
Approachable
03
Collaborative
Social Justice Minded
04
05
Passionate
06
Creative Problem Solver

Why does my vote matter?I would like to bring my experience and knowledge to the table, hopefully you agree! In races without a large voting turnout, those that do cast their vote have a lot more power with their choice than other elections.

Who are the animals?Wow! I can't believe you got to the third FAQ! That is impressive! The animals are my adopted/rescued boys. They are a huge part of my life because of the level of care they require due to their history of trauma and abuse from previous owners. Marty (doggo) has severe separation anxiety, my partner and I are working on being able to leave him alone but it hasn't happened just yet. Michael (kitty) was neglected and therefore has trust issues. He also had a broken tooth when I adopted him that needed to be extracted.
